Mrs M.Allan, Head Teacher
It is an absolute privilege to lead what is a very special school community and although in my tenth year of Headship, the anticipation and optimism for what lies ahead still fires the passion and provides the driving force which underpin our continuing journey of school improvement.
Despite the negative press that Headship appears to attract, there is no doubt in my mind that I have the best job in the world. With responsibility for the strategic direction and continuing development of Brookfield I have a central part to play in our children’s lives; the quality of their learning experiences, the opportunities available to them and the relationships which help shape the young adults they become. How many other professions allow us to create a living legacy.
Key to our increasing success are the aspirations, talents and abilities of our youngsters and the skills, qualities and absolute commitment of our staff team and governors; I am fortunate to have their full support so that together we can achieve the best possible outcomes for our young people.

Mr S Parkes, Deputy Head Teacher
I joined Brookfield in September 2013 as Deputy Head following a career spanning more than 20 years in 5 different schools.
My subject specialisms are Science, Maths with a dash of PE and I have previously been an Assistant Head, Head of Science and an Advanced Skills teacher. I spent the majority of my career teaching in Southampton schools and also have had the privilege of working across schools to support Science education across the city.
I have three children of my own who, inadvertently have given me the best training for my role and ensure I place children at the centre of all that I do. I am passionate about sport but was cruelly forced into early retirement from football at the tender age of 39!
At Brookfield I lead on assessment, behaviour and attendance which offer me a breadth of interest that ensures that I never get bored! It is a pleasure to work with the students at Brookfield who are incredibly resourceful, confident and uplifting children. Brookfield is an excellent school and it is well on the way to being the flagship school in Hampshire because we have outstanding students and staff who are all pulling together to aspire, act and achieve.
Mr A. Ledward, Deputy Head Teacher
I joined the staff at Brookfield in 1991 as the Curriculum Leader for Humanities. I mainly taught history, but have also contributed to the teaching of a wide range of other subjects in my years at the school. I have taken on a variety of leadership roles and responsibilities, before being appointed Deputy Headteacher in 2007. At present my main role is planning and overseeing the school’s curriculum, which means keeping up to date with the many and varied changes that have been introduced by recent governments, while ensuring that our provision meets the needs and aspirations of all of our students.
Miss P. McCulley, Deputy Head Teacher
Responsible for Learning and Teaching, including Home Learning and KS2/3 Transition.
Mr D.Simpson, Business Manager

I have also been a Governor at a local federation (infant and junior schools) for the past 7 years, with primary responsibility for all financial matters. As the School and Community Business Manager I will be responsible for finance, health & safety, personnel and the site.
